Harold Wayne Nelson was born at his grandparents’ home near Burwell, Nebraska on July 31, 1933 to Harold F. and Gertrude (Walford) Nelson and passed away at his home in San Tan Valley, AZ on January 16, 2020. He grew up on the family farm near Ord, Nebraska with his two brothers and a sister. On July 2, 1968, he married Blanche Nieuwenhuis from Rosebud, South Dakota. They raised their family of four boys in Western Nebraska.

When Harold was twenty years of age, he chose to walk with God, a choice that forever changed his life and brought years of blessing. He will be remembered for his faith in the living God, his integrity, his sense of humor, his care for others and his love for his family.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Harold F. and Gertrude, and a brother, Gary. He is survived by his loving wife, Blanche; four sons: Wayne (Jaimie), Duane (Jaala), Scott (Elaine), Tracy (Meagan); eight grandchildren: Laura, Hannah, Shaylee, Melaina, Jory, Landon, Logan and Jadyn; a brother, Rodney (Kathleen), and a sister, Vonna Dell Grotz, along with countless friends.

on Friday evening (Jan 31) at 7:30 pm
